Jon Bratt joined UMB in 2018 when he was appointed as UMB’s inaugural director of emergency management. In 2023, Jon became UMB’s first assistant vice president of enterprise resilience where he now leads the Office of Environmental Health and Safety, the newly formed Office of Public and Occupational Health, and the Office of Emergency Management. Jon earned a BS in emergency health science from UMBC and an MS in emergency management/counterterrorism from Rochester Institute of Technology. Jon was appointed by Governor Hogan to serve on the Governor’s Emergency Management Advisory Council in 2020 and volunteers as a paramedic/firefighter in Baltimore County.
