UMB's New Ventures Initiative (NVI) was launched this spring to quickly turn existing University technologies into companies ready for acquisition or funding. NVI just celebrated its first success with Living Pharma, a UMB startup sold just 18 months after its founding. Living Pharma's technology teaches the body to fight cancer by boosting T cell production.
