The School of Pharmacy's New Dean
The University of Maryland School of Pharmacy announced the appointment of a new dean — Sarah L.J. Michel, PhD — in October 2023.
The step up to dean is a natural progression for Michel, a distinguished educator and researcher who has been a professor at the school for 19 years, served as interim dean for 4½ months, and is a former chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and associate dean for graduate studies.
In the spirit of a new year and chapter for the school, we are looking forward to introducing Dean Michel to you, our alumni, at various events and learning more about the unique needs of our alumni so that the school can best support its elite and proud alumni.
