Coming Soon – Consulting Project to Examine Student Business Processes
UMB, in a project sponsored by the Office of the Provost and CITS, is in the beginning stages of a multi-phased initiative to improve business processes associated with the student experience. The first phase of this consulting project focuses on the areas of student records and registration, and aims to increase efficiency, increase collaboration and enhance the overall student experience. The project will center on a business processes mapping exercise, which will help review the status of operations and identify opportunities for improvement. UMB administrators and stakeholders from each school, working with industry consultants, will participate in and contribute to this important effort. Upon successful completion of this initial phase, the project will move forward to other areas of the student experience and how they can be improved.
New Student Dashboard Planned for UMB
Ellucian Experience is a cloud-based information hub for students, instructors/faculty and advisors that brings together all the information and applications relevant to them. It’s more than just a dashboard with URLs, however, as the platform delivers feature-rich cards that appear based on various roles from the student system. Our Experience installation will include real-time integrations with Banner, Blackboard, Degree Works, TouchNet and more.
