CICERO Registration

Registering an IBC and/or RSC Protocol Using CICERO:Cicero Research Evaluation Portal

Research protocols are submitted to and registered with the IBC and/or RSC using the online CICERO system.

Click here to login to CICERO. If you have not created an account, you will need to do so by following the instructions below.

  1. Go to the right section of the CICERO webpage and click "Create Login Account."
  2. Fill in all required fields. Use your "umaryland.edu" email address and UMB primary affiliation, if applicable. 
  3. Indicate that you will need IBC and/or RSC modules (and any others you may need). 
  4. Click Register at the bottom right section of the page.

Please note that all persons need to create their own CICERO account, it is not created automatically for them when they begin their affiliation with UMB. Supervisors should pass these directions on to their staff. If you attempt to add a person without an active account to a protocol in CICERO, they will not appear in the system as a selectable option.
