EHS offers training online and in-person to employees, students, and visitors who will be working in campus laboratories. These training modules are intended as a general overview of the topic, and hands-on, job-specific training is to be provided by your direct supervisor.
Note that NEW employees, students, and visitors are asked to attend in-person laboratory safety training. Future refresher training may be completed online after the first in-person class.

Online training modules are available for Bloodborne Pathogens, Chemical Safety, Hazardous Waste, DOT biological and infectious shipping, Macaques and Herpes B virus, and reactive chemicals. In-person training classes are held regularly at the EHS building and include Initial Laboratory Safety, Radiation Safety, AED/CPR, and Emergency Warden training.
