The UMB Center for Global Engagement Advisory Committee is composed of faculty members and administrators from all seven UMB schools and central administration who focus on global health, education, and service.
Members of Advisory Committee are the campus leaders who support UMB’s innovative and community-driven global programs and work to bring life to UMB’s Global Strategic Framework. The Advisory Committee is built on a long history of cross-campus collaboration and a strong dedication to ethical and bi-direction programs with international partners. The Global Health Interprofessional Council, the committee’s forerunner, created the cutting edge Interprofessional Global Grant Program and supported the creation of the Center for Global Engagement.
Committee members represent UMB’s six professional schools, the interdisciplinary Graduate School, and UMB central administration and support the Center for Global Engagement by:
- Providing counsel and advice on major programmatic decisions
- Sharing expertise and experience with the committee to build global health and education community and collaboration on campus
- Attending quarterly meetings
- Distributing news of the center’s opportunities and events to their schools and departments
