Examples of fundable projects include:
- Creation of training, capacity building, or professional development programs at an international partner site
- Developing new or enhanced student programs at international or domestic sites with a global focus
- New or enhanced research collaborations with international partners
- Hosting cross-campus and interprofessional conferences, symposia, and workshops on a globally-focused topic
- Support for a distinguished international scholar or bi-lateral faculty exchange
- Analysis of existing data for the purpose of developing new potential areas of research and collaboration
- Hosting a conference or working meeting that brings together UMB and external experts around a theme of mutual interest to develop strategies for future collaboration
- Creation of international education, research, experiential learning, or externship programs at international or domestic sites for UMB students
- Creation of training materials such as tool kits or best practices to grow expertise on a particular topic in the global realm
- Design a multi-year UMB program agenda for the needs of a particular community or patient population in a country where UMB has an existing relationship
- Bring expertise from the field to Baltimore (or vice versa) to support potential collaborations and strategic partnerships
