Commencement Quick References
Date, Time, and Place
Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Royal Farms Arena. Candidates should enter the main entrance on Baltimore Street and follow the signs directing you to your degree assembly area.
Graduates Arrival Time and Dress Code
Students should arrive by 8 a.m. dressed in regalia and hoods. Please look for your school banner to assemble for the procession. If you are unsure of where to go, download our Commencement Seating file.
Guest Arrival Time
Royal Farms Arena will be open for all guests starting at 7:30 a.m.
ADA-Related Accommodations
The UMB commencement ceremony includes closed captions for hearing impaired. To inquire about assistance for persons with disabilities, please contact the Royal Farms Arena Box Office at 410-347-2020. The University of Maryland, Baltimore, and Royal Farms Arena do not accept responsibility for the security of any personal items at commencement proceedings, including wheelchairs and other assistive devices.

Party in the Park
Immediately after the ceremony, all graduates and their families are invited to celebrate at the Party in the Park, located in Plaza Park at Baltimore and Greene streets directly across from the University of Maryland Medical Center.
