Maryland State:

Federally:
- The proposed FY 2024 Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grants allocation is 40 percent less than it was in FY 2023. NNEDV is doing advocacy around this issue, calling on Congress and the president to restore full funding for VOCA.
- S. v Rahimi is a Supreme Court Case that IPV advocates are closely monitoring. In February, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals struck down a federal law banning gun possession for those subject to a domestic violence civil protective order. The Supreme Court is set to hear this case and the call is for it to overturn the lower courts’ ruling.
