In June 2013, the Faculty Senate ratified an Academic Freedom Resolution to protect academic freedoms at UMB, including:

  • Freedom of research and publication
  • Freedom to determine standards
  • Freedom of teaching
  • Freedom of internal criticism
  • Freedom of participation in public debate
