- Environmentally friendly alternative: Carpooling reduces the number of cars on the road and helps reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality.
- Economic benefits: Carpool partners split the price of the parking space and the price of gasoline.
- Health benefits: The reduction of stress driving to work or school on a regular basis alone.
- Limited reserved parking: Spaces in selected garages for three or more participants in a carpool group.
- Social benefits: Sharing the driving, engaging in good conversation, and doing your part to improve the campus and the environment.

A carpool cannot include a car owner and non-car owner. The purpose of the program is to reduce the number of cars on the road and traffic congestion.
