Policy Statement
Upon return to the University of Maryland, Baltimore after a five (5) year separation, an undergraduate student may petition the school/academic unit administrator to have no more than nine (9) credits of unsatisfactory or failing grades taken at UMAB declared nonapplicable in the grade point average calculation. Such courses and grades shall not be counted toward graduation requirements. The clemency petition may be filed in the semester prior to reentry, but no later than during the first semester of reinstatement.
