The Council for the Arts & Culture enhances the quality of life on campus and in the larger Baltimore community by promoting the use of the University’s public spaces for the visual and performing arts and providing opportunities for the UMB community to experience the arts at partner institutions.

LEAPS is a new initiative supporting the educational priorities outlined by University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) President Bruce E. Jarrell, MD, FACS, and seeking to recognize and advance the achievements of educators in each UMB school. By developing faculty members’ skills and knowledge as educational thought leaders and scholars, UMB and its schools will strengthen existing educational programs, develop novel educational methods, and advance educational innovations and scholarship.
