University of Maryland Strategic Partnership Act
To the University Community:
On Thursday, Feb. 18, a bill was introduced in the Maryland General Assembly to create a strategic partnership between the University of Maryland, Baltimore and the University of Maryland, College Park.
As you know, UMB and the University of Maryland, College Park already enjoy a close, collaborative, and productive partnership under University of Maryland: MPowering the State, a structured alliance of the two universities, launched in 2012.
Once UMB's leadership team and I have had time to study this new bill, I will be better able to comment on how it would affect UMB should it become law. I will be back in touch with you at that time.
