October is recognized nationally as Campus Sustainability Month.
2022 Events
- Office Supply Swap Launch (620 W. Lexington St., 6th Floor, NW Corner; see here for detailed directions)
- October Specialty Recycling Collections (Campus Center and 620 W. Lexington lobbies)
- Items Accepted: Books, batteries, ink/toner cartridges, electronics, plastic bags, and filmm
- Oct. 6 at noon – #IWillListen tabling with Student Counseling Center (Campus Center)
- Oct. 11 at noon - Wellness and Sustainability Tabling with URecFit & Wellness (Campus Center)
- Oct. 19 at 9:30 a.m. – Waste Audit (HSHSL)

- Oct. 26 at noon – Sustainability Career Panel hosted by UMBC’s Office of Sustainability

Alignment with Strategic Plan:
Education and Engagement: Create and maintain a constant communication flow with the entire campus community regarding sustainability. Communicate to the campus on a regular basis with initiatives and tips to keep sustainability a part of the UMB culture.
