University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) is committed to promoting a learning environment that is free from sex discrimination, including sexual harassment and sexual violence. As such, all students, including visiting students, are required to complete online Title IX training.
UMB is committed to promoting a learning environment that is free from sex discrimination, including sexual harassment and sexual violence.
The training is designed to:
- Promote awareness of the rights and responsibilities under Title IX;
- Promote common understanding of the expectations under Title IX and UMB policy, including what is prohibited behaviors;
- Provide information on resources available to persons that have experienced or been impacted by sexual misconduct; and
- Encourage reporting of incidents to allow UMB to respond, remedy, and work to prevent misconduct.
All students, including visiting students, are required to complete their designated training by Tuesday, October 15, 2024. A hold will be placed on the accounts of any students who do not complete the training before the training deadline.
This training, by its nature, addresses issues of sexual harassment, misconduct, and violence. UMB understands that the training may trigger an emotional response, especially if you have experienced or been impacted by these issues or behaviors.
