Eligibility and Rates

Currently enrolled UMB students and UMB Shady Grove students in good standing have access to URecFit and Wellness. A current UMB One Card must be presented in order to enter.

Incoming students may use the facility if they provide their acceptance letter and complete a membership profile at the URecFit and Wellness Business Desk.

Spring incoming students prior to Jan. 1 and summer and fall incoming students prior to June 1 may purchase a membership.

UMB Faculty and Staff are eligible to purchase a membership. A valid UMB One Card must be presented to verify eligibility.

 URecFit and Wellness Membership Rates

UMB Alumni who graduated will have a complimentary membership for one year from time of graduation. 

All other UMB alumni may purchase a membership. Documentation is required.

• May graduates – good through May 31
• Summer graduates – good through Aug. 31
• December graduates – good through Dec. 31

You are eligible to purchase a membership if you fall into the following categories (employee or volunteer ID required):

• University Hospital staff or volunteers (UMMC & Midtown Campus) and Shock Trauma (STC)
• Visiting faculty, interns, and students to UMMC (University Hospital)
• Biopark Employees (UMB BioPark)
• University of Maryland Faculty Practice, Inc. (FPI)
• Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Service Systems (MIEMSS)
• Downtown Baltimore Childcare Center (DBCC)
• Veterans Administration Staff (VA Baltimore)
• University affiliates, contractors, and volunteers (with a University One Card)
• Education Affairs Division, Office of the Attorney General

 URecFit and Wellness Membership Rates

All fee-paying students at UMB and the University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP) have access to both campuses' recreational facilities during scheduled hours of operation and are allowed to use those facilities at no added cost.

Current staff and faculty who possess valid recreational facilities membership also receive access to both recreation facilities. UMB employees must purchase membership at the SMC Campus Center and UMCP employees must purchase membership at the Eppley Recreation Center.

UMCP and UMB alumni may purchase a membership at either facility, but it only allows access to the facility where the membership was purchased. It is not transferable.

 URecFit and Wellness Membership Rates

Individuals that are eligible for membership may sponsor one individual for membership with URecFit and Wellness. A sponsored individual's membership must be the same length as or shorter in term than the sponsee. A sponsored individual is not eligible to be a sponsor. A sponsored individual is only eligible for Payroll Deduction if the sponsor is a regular or C2 employee on UMB Payroll.

 URecFit and Wellness Membership Rates

UMB students and URecFit and Wellness members may sponsor up to two guests per visit. The cost per guest is $10. Guests must be 18 years or older.

• Fee must be paid upon entry and is the responsibility of the member or student.
• Guests must present a government-issued photo ID (driver's license, state ID, military ID, or passport).
• A guest pass form must be completed at the time the guest fee is collected.
• A guest pass is only valid per visit. Re-entry is not permitted.
• Solicitation to gain facility access is prohibited and is grounds for refusal of entry, removal from a facility, and/or surrender of paid guest fees.
• The sponsor will take full responsibility for the conduct of their guests and any destruction of equipment or facilities caused by guests. This includes social interactions and financial liabilities.
• Guests must remain with their sponsor and depart when their sponsor departs.
• Sponsors must check out equipment for guests.
• Guests may not participate in intramural sports activities.
• Guest passes are non-transferable and non-refundable.
• Guest passes are valid for the day they were purchased.
