Erica Leyder is a 2nd-year PhD student in the Graduate School. She earned a BS in Biochemistry and Biology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in St. Mary’s City, MD. Currently, she also works in Dr. Alexander Sasha Krupnick’s laboratory studying the role of eosinophils in lung transplant at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. As the student representative for UMB’s Faculty Senate, she hopes to be a liaison between the students and faculty. When she is not busy studying, she enjoys soccer, watching Chelsea FC, and playing with her two pups.
