The Muslim Students and Scholars Association or MSSA is dedicated to fostering fellowship among UMB students through the planning, development, and implementation of programmatic initiatives. It is an umbrella organization that is open to all students at UMB and serves to provide support for its members. It provides spiritual and social support for its members as well as educational opportunities for members and the UMB campus. As a whole, these activities and events are designed to enrich the intellectual atmosphere present on campus. MSSA services and programs serve to fill a need created by students, specifically Muslim students, living away from an organized Muslim community and its social structure.
