2020 IPE Day Group Picture

The Center for Interprofessional Education advances UMB's vision for preparing all University students to provide high-quality, affordable health care and human services within a team-based model. The center's mission is to prepare health, law, and human services professionals to work collaboratively on interprofessional teams focused on improving the lives of people locally, nationally, and globally.

Please join us on April 2, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 5 p.m., for UMB's 13th Annual Interprofessional Education (IPE) Day at the MSTF Leadership Hall! Lunch will be provided. This year, we're excited to bring together UMB students to engage in collaborative learning and teamwork.

There are two types of registration for IPE Day:

Mandatory Attendance: Students who are required to attend do not need to register themselves; their faculty will automatically register them. Please inform your professor/faculty if you have any dietary restrictions.

Optional Attendance: Students who are not required to attend but wish to participate can register at the link below by March 5th

Don't miss this opportunity to enhance your understanding of interprofessional collaboration and network with peers and professionals from different fields. Register now and secure your spot!

This event was designed to enhance the knowledge of faculty and students about this emerging collaborative movement in health care, law, and social work.

Student participants in IPE Day discovered:

  • How to effectively communicate with professionals outside your area of study
  • What specialist skills you can share with other professionals
  • How interprofessional communications affect the quality of care
